The Democratic National Committee today launched a national campaign to promote President Biden’s American Rescue Plan and provide Democrats across the country with the tools they need to effectively tell the American people that help is here and to hold Republican lawmakers accountable for opposing it.
The campaign began with a video by DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, a national television ad, visibility efforts, and the release of a comprehensive messaging guide. In the next days and weeks, the DNC will continue to work with state parties and stakeholders to highlight key aspects of the plan, host media training sessions, and speak directly to voters about the benefits they will be receiving.
See below for a roundup of key elements of the campaign thus far:
DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released a video for state and local Democrats noting the importance of continuing the work of making sure voters know that Democrats were united in supporting the American Rescue Plan and of holding Republican elected officials accountable for unanimously opposing it.
The DNC today released a new national, 60-second television ad highlighting how President Biden and Democrats have delivered real, tangible results for the American people and their families by making the American Rescue Plan a reality. The ad will air in battleground states and cable television in Washington, DC.
The DNC distributed a comprehensive guide on the American Rescue Plan with state-specific information and creative resources so supporters, party operatives, progressive organizations, activists and lawmakers have everything they need to promote the American Rescue Plan.
And last night, as President Biden addressed the nation to mark the anniversary of the first nationwide coronavirus shutdowns and highlighted the signing of the American Rescue Plan, the DNC set up light brights that read “HELP IS HERE” in front of the White House to draw attention to the fact that President Biden and Democrats have delivered on their promise to provide relief to the American people.
