Unwavering election conspiracy theorist Tudor Dixon – who “has said repeatedly that the 2020 election was stolen” – just attacked and undermined the integrity of Michigan’s elections with only three weeks to go until Election Day In just the latest example of casting doubt on the democratic process, Dixon baselessly claimed during an appearance on Michigan’s Big Show that “our votes are not counting.”

The DeVos sellout also used the interview to advocate for “purging the voter rolls.”

These comments are only the latest example of the “fresh post-election chaos” Dixon is angling to stir up with just 21 days left in her campaign, and after two straight years of shouldering the lie that fraud “changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Michigan”:

  • November 6, 2020: Dixon tweets, “Zero self awareness made [Democrats’] voter fraud sloppy and obvious.”
  • November 6, 2020: Dixon tweets, “Republicans would have to have voted for their Republican congressional candidate and no presidential candidate of Joe Biden to make these numbers work. And we know that didn’t happen.”
  • November 6, 2020: Dixon tweets, “Please tell me, how many of you voted for your Republican Congressional candidate and also checked the box for Joe Biden? Od Dems, how many of you voted for a Democrat Congressional candidate and checked the box for Trump? Oh, now you see…”
  • November 8, 2020: Dixon tweets, “Steal an election then hide behind calls for unity and leftists lap it up.”
  • December 1, 2020: Dixon tweets, “It’s still fraud.”
  • October 15, 2021: During an appearance on ‘Off the Record,’ Dixon claimed that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson “provided the opportunity” to “deliberately [tilt] the election” in President Biden’s favor in a way that was ‘absolutely premeditated.’
  • October 15, 2021: During the same interview, Dixon got in a heated back and forth with the rest of the panel, arguing that they were “misleading [their] viewers” by simply explaining the Republican-led Senate Oversight Committee’s 55-page report’s findings that there was no evidence of fraud.
  • May 12, 2022: At the Republican gubernatorial primary debate held in Livingston County, Dixon plainly answered “yes” when asked if she “believe[s] Donald Trump legitimately won the 2020 election in Michigan.”
  • June 30, 2022: When asked to raise her hand during another debate if she believed not only that there was fraud, but enough to impact the outcome of the 2020 election, Dixon reaffirmed her claims that it did.
  • July 6, 2022: Dixon says at Republican gubernatorial primary debate in Grand Rapids that Secretary Benson “must have had some nefarious plan…so, we know already that something illegal happened in this election.” Dixon also said, “We don’t know what happened in an election where the Secretary of State is cheating.”
  • August 17, 2022: MIRS reported that a Dixon fundraising email claimed Governor Whitmer “put her finger on the scale in Michigan to deny President TRUMP victory” in the 2020 general election.
  • September 18, 2022: In response to inquiries from The Washington Post, Dixon “pointedly” refused to commit to accept the results of the 2022 gubernatorial election.
  • September 18, 2022: In response to inquiries from The New York Times, Dixon used baseless and discredited allegations about the outcome of 2020 to preemptively cast doubt on Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s ability to “[run] a fair election, the way she should be.”
  • September 20, 2022: Dixon is both asked if she “would be willing to clarify whether you accept the results of the [2022] November election” and if she “believe[s] that Donald Trump won the 2020 election.” She refuses to answer either question.
  • September 27, 2022: Dixon was once again asked if she would accept the 2022 results and hid behind one of her staffers “who wouldn’t commit to accepting the results” and baselessly claimed “there’s no reason to believe” November’s contest will be conducted fairly.
  • October 18, 2022: In an interview with local news, Dixon “stopped short of committing to accepting the election results on Nov. 8.”

MDP spokesperson Rodericka Applewhaite issued the following statement:

“DeVos sellout and election denialist Tudor Dixon is once again undermining Michigan’s elections and casting doubt on the democratic process as she calls for purging voter rolls and elevates baseless accusations attacking the integrity of election results. No matter what conspiracy theories she pushes next, her dangerous agenda to ban abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or health of the mother, dismantle public education, and gut billions from critical services like law enforcement and infrastructure will be rejected by Michiganders in November.”
