Yesterday, President Biden and Vice President Harris commemorated the one year mark of the January 6 insurrection by highlighting our sacred responsibility to protect our democracy and advance truth over lies. During his remarks at the U.S. Capitol, the president reaffirmed the commitment he laid out when he first announced his candidacy nearly three years ago: to win the battle for the soul of America and bring our country together.

Here’s a look at what else voters in states across the country read about President Biden’s and Democrats’ leadership this week:

Under President Biden and Democrats’ leadership, communities across the country are experiencing a record economic recovery. Unemployment fell below 4% in December for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, jobless claims have plunged to a near 50-year low, supply chain bottlenecks are easing, consumers are spending in record amounts, and Americans in big cities and small towns are seeing that progress in their local economies.

Meanwhile, local news outlets continued to highlight how President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is benefitting their communities. From Pennsylvania to South Carolina, people are reading about how the law will repair and rebuild their communities’ roads, bridges, and airports; replace lead pipes and service lines; improve access to affordable, high-speed internet; strengthen resilience to climate change; create good-paying jobs; and so much more.
