This morning, headlines are heralding the good news of yet another big win for the American people thanks in large part to President Biden and Democrats’ leadership in delivering the CHIPS and Science Act. Micron announced an investment of up to $100 billion over 20 years in chips manufacturing in upstate New York, which is expected to create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs over the next two decades.

And, and it’s located in a place that will really benefit from it.’”

“In August, President Joe Biden signed a $280 billion package called the CHIPS Act, which includes $52 billion to boost domestic semiconductor manufacturing. Mehrotra praised Schumer and Biden for passing the CHIPS act, as well as Gov. Kathy Hochul and Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon for arranging state and local partnerships.
