Today’s MAGA Hot Mic moment comes from Indiana GOP State Rep. Karen Engleman.

Karen Engleman led a group of Indiana House Republicans in an attempt to remove exceptions for rape or incest from the state’s proposed near-total abortion ban yesterday.

WFYI Indianapolis: “The House vote displayed a similar division among Republicans seen in the state Senate over exceptions for rape and incest, which remained in the bill when an attempt in the Senate last week also failed to strip those exceptions. Republican Rep. Karen Engleman sponsored the amendment, arguing that even a child conceived in a rape or incest attack deserved a chance at life.”

IndyStar: “House Republicans attempted to remove exceptions for rape and incest from the state’s proposed near-total abortion ban on Thursday, but just like Republicans in the Senate, they were unsuccessful.”

A Democratic colleague asked Engleman if her amendment would prevent a 10-year-old incest victim from reproductive health care and she responded, “It does.”

That’s right. Republicans want to force 10-year-old rape victims to give birth.

Across the country Republican lawmakers are reminding Americans what’s at stake if they gain power. The right to choose and the freedom to make our own health care decisions is on the ballot in November.
