The Supreme Court draft opinion showing that conservative Supreme Court justices are set to overturn Roe v. Wade is the result of Republicans in Michigan and across the country’s decades-long, radical war on the right to choose.

Despite Michigan Republicans’ cheering, the evidence is clear — the overwhelming majority of Americans support access to safe and legal abortion and support Roe v. Wade’s half century of established precedent. The truth is, Michigan Republicans’ extreme MAGA agenda is wildly unpopular and out of touch within the state and across the country:

NBC Detroit: “Results from a new WDIV/Detroit News survey found 67.3% of Michigan voters want Roe v. Wade left in place while only 19.1% of voters want Roe v. Wade overturned by the Supreme Court.”

NBC Grand Rapids: “Polls… have shown that the majority of Michiganders are consistently pro-choice and believe that women have the right to choose an abortion.”

FiveThirtyEight: “According to an ABC News/The Washington Post poll conducted in early November, 75 percent of Americans thought abortion should be left to a woman and her doctor, while only 20 percent thought it should be regulated by law.”

Forbes: “A majority of Americans broadly believe abortion should be legal and more than 60% believe people should be able to obtain abortions during the first trimester of their pregnancy, a new Associated Press/NORC poll finds.”
