Mike Pence’s book tour to remake his image has been filled with desperate attempts to “have it all ways at once” and “have his cake and eat it too.” But despite twisting himself into pretzels, Pence can’t stop talking about his extreme support for banning abortion in all 50 states and opposition to marriage equality.

Yesterday, Pence doubled down on his extreme anti-choice agenda, saying that appointing the 3 conservative justices who overturned Roe v. Wade was among the “most consequential” legacies of the Trump-Pence administration and reiterated his support for banning abortion in all 50 states.

NBC: “Former Vice President Mike Pence said the Supreme Court’s decision to eliminate the national right to abortion is “among the most consequential legacies” of former President Donald Trump’s administration, underscoring his staunch opposition to abortion rights in an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press. […] Pence voiced his support for a proposal from Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., to ban most abortions nationwide.”

Mike Pence: “It may take as long to restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law in all 50 states as it did to overturn Roe v. Wade, but people that know me and my family know that so long as we live we’ll- we’ll seek to be about the business of life”

Mike Pence is also touting his refusal to support marriage equality. After refusing to say whether he’d support codifying protections for same-sex marriage THREE SEPARATE TIMES on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show last week, Pence this weekend continued to dodge whether he opposes protections for Americans’ freedom to marry who they love.

CBS’ Face The Nation: Margaret Brennan: “What about same-sex marriage? A number of Republicans are getting on board federal protections for it. Do you believe that you need to consider that when you talk about compassion?”

Pence: “Well, as a- as a Bible-believing Christian, I’ll always hold the view that marriage is between one man and one woman. And that’ll always be my values.”

Try as he might to reintroduce himself on his book tour, Mike Pence’s extreme anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ agenda of taking freedoms away is far out-of-touch with the American people.
