Despite plenty of reporting about how Donald Trump is trying to run from his anti-choice record, Donald Trump went on conservative media to remind GOP primary voters how he paved the way for states to implement abortion bans across the country.

In an interview, Trump bragged that “nobody has ever done more” to ban abortion across the country by “[putting] 3 Supreme Court justices who all voted” to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Donald Trump: “Nobody has ever done more for right to life than Donald Trump. I put three Supreme Court justices who all voted, and they got something that they’ve been fighting for for 64 years.”

Remember: This is the same anti-choice extremist who called for “some form of punishment” against women who have abortions.

Donald Trump: “There has to be some form of punishment [for women who have abortions].”

And it’s not just Trump bragging about his role in overturning Roe — Mike Pence, his former VP, is also running on the Trump-Pence administration’s anti-choice record as a central plank of his policy platform.

Mike Pence“Thanks to three Supreme Court justices confirmed by our administration, the American people have been given a new beginning for life.”

Mike Pence: “I welcome any and all efforts to advance the cause of life in state capitals or in the nation’s capital… And I have every confidence that the next Republican president, whoever that may be, will stand for the right to life.”

Trump’s latest anti-choice remarks also come after GOP governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota took shots to try and out-MAGA fellow anti-choice GOP governor Ron DeSantis of Florida on abortion.
