DeVos sellout and unwavering election conspiracy theorist Tudor Dixon – who “has said repeatedly that the 2020 election was stolen” – is now refusing to commit to accepting the results of her own election and continuing to wage her “unfounded attacks” on Michigan’s democracy.

Already banking on manufacturing “fresh post-election chaos” as absentee ballots are hitting mailboxes, Dixon is continuing to spread the disinformation she’s pushed for two years straight

In statements provided to both the Washington Post and New York Times, the extreme conspiracy theorist used baseless and discredited allegations about the outcome of 2020 to preemptively cast doubt on Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s ability to “[run] a fair election, the way she should be.”

When asked again by Michigan reporters last week, Dixon once again refused to commit to accepting the outcome of this year’s election:

Reporter: …I’m wondering if you would be willing to clarify whether you accept the results of the [2022] November election.

Dixon: Yes, I will look at what happens in the November election and make sure that the Secretary of State follows the law.

Reporter: Quick follow up, do you believe that Donald Trump won the 2020 election?

Dixon: I’ve already answered questions on the election. Can we focus on questions on today?

Then just days ago, Dixon was met with the same question and hid behind one of her staffers “who wouldn’t commit to accepting the results” and baselessly claimed “there’s no reason to believe” November’s contest will be conducted fairly. This is despite the election being administered by the same officials who certified Dixon’s win in the Republican gubernatorial primary – an election she has yet to take issue with.

These new statements only further reinforce Dixon’s years of dangerous election conspiracy theories.

MDP spokesperson Rodericka Applewhaite issued the following statement:

“It’s no longer enough for extreme election denialist Tudor Dixon to relitigate 2020, she’s now casting doubt on an election that hasn’t even happened yet – and will keep spreading conspiracy theories and baseless lies to undermine the democratic process. Dixon’s attempts to stoke public distrust in Michigan’s elections is only the latest effort in pushing her wrong-for-Michigan agenda that will gut public education, hamper job creation, and slash funding for infrastructure and public safety.”
