Republicans across the country are flocking to partner up with an extreme anti-choice group who have made clear their goal is to “end abortion.”
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is introducing a new, national abortion ban, delivering on the Republican promise to work to make abortion illegal across the country.
Washington Post: “Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) on Tuesday will make public his plans to introduce a bill in the Senate that would ban abortions nationwide… Graham will be joined at a noon news conference Tuesday by Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, along with other antiabortion leaders.”
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America led the charge to overturn Roe v. Wade — helping pave the way for dangerous bans across the country that are forcing 10-year-old rape victims to give birthin their home states.
Washington Post: “[Chris Christie and Marjorie Dannenfelser] spoke with at least eight Republican governors across the country in the months before the court struck down Roe to help prepare states to defend antiabortion laws already on the books… Dannenfelser has spoken with many more governors on her own — at least 22 in total.”
NPR: “… more than a dozen states had so-called ‘trigger bans’ in place… Some took effect almost immediately; at least eight states have implemented total or near-total abortion bans, according to the Center for Reproductive Rights.”
Texas Tribune: “Performing an abortion is now a felony punishable by up to life in prison in Texas after the state’s trigger law… The law was ‘triggered’ when the U.S. Supreme Court issued its judgment in Dobbs v. Jackson…”
KKTV: “… Georgian residents are having trouble picking up medication that’s been prescribed to them by licensed doctors. It’s a result of the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade, and is complicating access to essential drugs.”
MAGA Republicans want to restrict access to abortion for millions of American women, and are joining forces with anti-abortion extremists to do it.
