Precinct Delegate Program Signup

March 22 @ 4:00 am - April 16 @ 2:00 pm

We are pleased to present or NEW Precinct Delegate Program.

Become a Precinct Delegate, Captain, or team member.

Have you ever felt like you wanted to do more, to really make a difference in our community and for our party, but weren’t sure where to start?

We get it. Life is busy, and it’s easy to feel like your voice might get lost in the crowd. But what if we told you there’s a powerful way to amplify your voice, connect with your neighbors, and directly shape the future we want, right here in our own neighborhoods?

It starts with becoming a Precinct Delegate.

You might have heard the term before, but maybe you’re not quite sure what it means or why it matters. Here’s the thing: Precinct Delegates are the grassroots power of our party. They are the connection point between our party and our communities, working right at the neighborhood level – the precinct – which is the smallest, but most impactful division in our election system.

As we shared on our members website recently:”You might not realize this, but there are more Democrats in our area than people think. The problem? Too many stay quiet, unsure if they’re supported. It’s up to us to change that. By building a connected, resilient community, we create a space where people feel empowered — where they know their voice matters. And that starts with YOU.”

Becoming a Precinct Delegate is about more than just elections. It’s about:

  • Building Community: Connecting with your neighbors, creating a network of engaged citizens right where you live.
  • Having Real Influence: As a delegate, you become the voice of your precinct, influencing our party’s direction and strategy. You vote for party leaders and shape our platform.
  • Making a Tangible Impact: Precinct Delegates have been instrumental in boosting voter turnout, driving policy initiatives, and winning elections – even in challenging areas! (Think Detroit’s mask-and-ballot initiative, Macomb County’s voter outreach, and Genesee County’s data-driven canvassing – just a few examples of what organized delegates can achieve.)

Curious to learn more about what being a Precinct Delegate actually involves?

We’re launching a new Precinct Delegate Program to train and empower people just like you to become effective community organizers and party leaders. And we want to invite you to be a part of it!

To give you a sneak peek of what to expect, we’ve put together a preview from our first introductory session. You can take a look here: Program Preview

You’ll get a taste of:

  • What Precinct Delegates do.
  • Why this program is so important right now.
  • How you’ll be supported and part of a team.
  • How we will run the program

Becoming a Precinct Delegate is a powerful way to turn your desire to make a difference into real action. It’s a chance to empower yourself, empower your neighbors, and build a stronger, more resilient community for all of us.

We believe that together, we can achieve incredible things. We hope you’ll consider joining us as a Precinct Delegate and help us build a brighter future, starting right here in our neighborhoods.

The schedule is flexible. We avoid holidays and offer the same class in the middle of the week and Saturday so you can pick when you want to participate. You can even join online if you can’t make a class. You will spend an hour every other week in person for about eight weeks, and an hour or so on the off weeks reinforcing what you’ve learned. It’s a small investment of time for an enormous impact. And you won’t be doing this alone — you’ll be part of a team, trained and ready, working together for a common goal. The preliminary schedule below shows the in-person sessions.
