Van Buren Dems Annual Summer Picnic 2025

Join us for an afternoon of good food, meaningful conversation, and community connection at the Van Buren County Democrats’ Annual Summer Picnic.

Location: Hartman Park, 347 Prospect Street in South Haven

We’ll provide grilled chicken, hot dogs, chips, water, and soft drinks. Please bring a dish to pass if you’re able.

Schedule of Events:
2:00 pm – Potluck lunch begins
2:15 pm – Opening remarks from Chair Kerry Tapper
2:25 pm – Introduction by State Representative Joey Andrews
2:45 pm – Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson speaks
3:15 pm – Meet the candidates for the 4th Congressional District
4:15 pm – Closing remarks by Representative Joey Andrews
5:00 pm – Informal meet and greet to close the day

This is a chance to gather in a relaxed setting, hear directly from state and local leaders, and prepare for the important work ahead.

What to bring: A lawn chair for the shade or a blanket for the sun
