Today, the Democratic National Committee unveiled new billboards near Reading Regional Airport in Pennsylvania, the site of President Trump’s second rally today, highlighting how Trump’s failed coronavirus response has hurt Pennsylvanians — leading to the deaths of more than 8,700 Pennsylvanians and over a million lost jobs in the state.

The billboards, located on the Warren Street Bypass at Bernville Road near Reading Airport, are running all day Saturday and will reach Pennsylvanians in the area around Trump’s event today.

“COVID-19 cases are soaring, Trump is preparing for his lawsuit to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, and he still doesn’t have a plan to create good-paying jobs for Pennsylvanians and take them out of the biggest economic recession in nearly a century,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “We’re reaching Pennsylvanians with a message they can’t miss: Nothing Trump says today can change his four years of failed, incompetent leadership — and voters will hold him accountable by voting him out of office.”

Yesterday, in advance of Trump’s rallies, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party hosted a virtual press conference with PA Dems Chair Nancy Patton Mills, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), and congressional candidates Christina Finello (PA-01) and Kristy Gnibus (PA-16) to discuss how President Trump’s economic policies, COVID-19 response and attacks on health care have left working families in the region behind.
